Trial and licensing
What do I get in the 14-day trial?
All of it. There is no reduced edition, no locked features and no export restriction — you scan your real folders, price your real jobs and produce real invoices. We would rather you found out in two weeks whether this fits your business than discover a limitation after paying.
Do I need a card to start the trial?
No. Download it, install it, use it. Nothing to enter until you decide to buy.
What exactly does a Lifetime licence include?
You own the version you bought, permanently, and you receive every update released in the following 12 months. After that the software carries on working exactly as it is — nothing switches off and nothing expires. If you want to keep receiving new versions, an update plan is $49 a year and is entirely optional.
What happens if I let the update plan lapse?
Nothing breaks. You keep the most recent version you were entitled to, and it keeps working indefinitely. Renewing later picks you back up from wherever the product has got to.
How many computers can I use?
Two on a subscription, three on Lifetime. You can release a machine from your account at any time and activate a different one in its place, as often as you like. Reinstalling Windows on the same machine does not use up a second slot.
If I cancel, do I lose my invoices?
No — and this is worth being precise about. Your database, your invoices, your exports and your documents are files on your own computer. Cancelling stops new work intake in the application; it does not reach into your disk and take anything away. We could not do that even if we wanted to.
Your data and privacy
Do my documents ever leave my computer?
No. Not during activation, not during a licence check, not ever. Your translations, source files, folder paths, filenames, client names, invoice figures and word counts stay on your machine. The only things that reach us are your email address, your licence key and an identifier for the installation.
So what can you actually see?
Your account, which plan you hold, and which machines it is activated on — the name you gave each one, its operating system and the version it is running. That is the complete list. Our database has no column that could hold a document, a path or a client, so it is not a policy we are asking you to trust; there is nowhere for it to go.
Is there any telemetry or crash reporting?
None. The application sends no usage data, no analytics and no crash reports.
Will it reorganise my folders?
No. Scanning never renames, moves or overwrites anything in the folders you point it at — they are read-only input. Everything Transsist works out is kept in its own database elsewhere. The optional New Job workflow creates only the folders and copies you explicitly approve.
Working offline
Does it need an internet connection?
To activate, once. After that it checks in with us quietly in the background, and if it cannot reach us it simply carries on — for 14 days on a subscription, 30 on Lifetime. You can work on a train, on a plane, or through an outage without noticing.
What if your servers go down?
Exactly the same as if your own connection drops: nothing happens, because the offline window absorbs it. That window exists precisely so our bad day does not become your bad day.
And if the offline window does run out?
Transsist pauses new work intake only — watching folders, scanning, creating jobs and adding files. Everything you already have stays fully available: you can read it, edit it, invoice it, export it and back it up. Reconnect once and it resumes immediately.
Installing and updating
Is there a Mac or Linux version?
No. Transsist is Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit, only.
Why does Windows warn me about the installer?
Because it is not code-signed yet, and SmartScreen warns about any unsigned installer. Choose More info, then Run anyway. We would rather tell you here than let you meet it unprepared and wonder whether something is wrong.
Does it update itself?
No. There is no automatic updater. When a new version is released you download it from your account and run it over the top; your database, invoices and settings are preserved.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
It stays exactly where it is. Uninstalling leaves your database, invoices and exports in place, so reinstalling picks up where you left off.
