How it works
Transsist is built around the folder structure you already use. There is no import step, no project set-up, and no second copy of your work.
Settings, then Folders, then Browse. Select the folder that contains your year folders. Nothing is copied and nothing is moved — Transsist reads where your work already is.
Currency, billing method, default rate and unit: per word, per 100 words, per 1,000 words, per page, fixed fee, or hourly. Clients can override the default, and a rate file beside a job overrides both.
Transsist walks the tree, finds every job, and opens each final translated document to count its words. Folders that are not dates are reported rather than guessed at.
The dashboard lists every job it cannot yet price — no rate, no final document, or something unreadable. That queue is the point: a job with no rate silently drops out of your totals otherwise.
Day folders are read day-first, so 22.07.26 is 22 July 2026.

Only final translated documents. By default they are recognised by name:
*_ara.docx *_ar.docx
*_eng.docx *_en.docx
*_translated.docx
*_final.docxYou can edit or add patterns, and a pattern can carry a target language code so the language pair is known without typing anything. Final .xlsx and .pptx files can be made billable the same way.
Source PDFs and DOCX files, images and emails are recorded but not billed.
Nothing inside a reference folder is ever billable — even if its name matches a billing pattern exactly.
A rate 15.txt beside a job sets that job’s rate, and Transsist records that the rate came from that file, so you can see why a job was priced the way it was.
