This document describes how Transsist actually works, and those parts are accurate. The highlighted passages below are commercial and legal details still being finalised:
Nothing else on this page is provisional. If a highlighted clause matters to your decision, ask us before buying and we will answer in writing.
Transsist is provided by the Transsist business, whose registered legal entity and address are being finalised. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean that entity, and “you” means the person or organisation holding the licence.
A licence to use the Transsist desktop application on Windows, on a number of devices set by your plan. You are not buying the software itself, and the licence is not transferable to another person or organisation without our agreement.
Each plan permits a set number of simultaneously activated devices — currently 2 on Professional, 3 on Lifetime, and a number agreed with you on Enterprise. You may release a device from your account at any time and activate another in its place.
Activation requires an internet connection. After activation the application revalidates periodically and continues to work for your plan’s offline grace window when it cannot reach us.
If a licence expires, is suspended for non-payment, or is withdrawn, the application pauses new work intake — folder watching, scanning, creating jobs, and adding files to jobs. It continues to let you read, edit, invoice, export and back up everything you already have.
We do not delete, disable or withhold access to your own data under any circumstances. Your database, documents and invoices are on your machine and remain yours.
You agree not to:
We may suspend or withdraw a licence for a serious or repeated breach. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first.
Your documents, clients and invoices are yours. We do not receive them — see Privacy for exactly what we do receive. We claim no rights over anything you produce with the software.
We aim to keep the licensing service available, and we do not currently offer a service level agreement. That is a deliberate position rather than an omission: the offline grace window means our downtime does not stop you working, and promising an uptime figure we cannot yet measure would be worth less than the window itself.
Prices are shown on our pricing page and are charged in US dollars. A subscription renews at the end of each period until you cancel; a Lifetime licence is a single payment. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
Online payment is not yet enabled, so purchases are currently arranged directly.
We may change, add to, or remove features. Where a change materially reduces what you can do, we will say so in the release notes rather than let you discover it.
The software is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it is free of defects or that it will meet every requirement you have — no software honestly can — and you should keep your own backups of your work, as you would regardless.
We will say this much plainly: the software reads your folders and does not modify them, and it is built so that a licensing failure cannot destroy your work. Those are properties of the design, not promises of good intent.
The precise limitation of liability is being finalised with legal advice, because it depends on the jurisdiction in clause 12. Until it is settled, we will not assert a limit we have not properly drafted.
You may stop using Transsist at any time. Ending a subscription stops future billing; it does not delete anything on your machine. We may end the agreement for a serious breach of clause 5.
The governing law and jurisdiction are being finalised. If this matters to your decision, ask us before buying and we will confirm in writing.
We will post changes here with a revision date, and tell existing licence holders about material ones by email.
